Consumer Description

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS EXPANDING ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE IN THE AIR BAG LOCATIONS. THE CONTACT WENT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE AIR BAG DEACTIVATED, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THIS COULD NOT BE DONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
