Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMPS WENT OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIGHTS WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BALLAST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V101000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHTS WERE HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE LIGHTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 133,000. UPDATED 05/10/17*LJ *CN
