Consumer Description

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 JEEP PATRIOT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED DOWN A HILL AND DURING A SLEET STORM, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE HEAD ON. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
