Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 GMC TERRAIN. WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS SUDDENLY MALFUNCTIONED AND STOPPED OPERATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIPER BALL JOINT MECHANISM WAS FAULTY. THE FAILURE WAS REPAIRED, BUT RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V582000 (VISIBILITY); HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNAVAILABLE.
