Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 GMC TERRAIN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPPED OPERATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS IDENTICAL TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16C582000 (VISIBILITY/WIPER). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
