Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 BMW 750I. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED AND OPENED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCH PAWL SPRINGS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V504000 (DOOR LATCH). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
