Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED LACK OF POWER, ROUGH ENGINE OPERATION, AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE CYLINDER TWO COIL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS MELTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, WITHIN MINUTES, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CYLINDER 2 COIL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE PCM NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
