Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 GMC TERRAIN. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V582000 (VISIBILITY); HOWEVER, THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN AND USING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, THE WIPERS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STALLED IN MID MOTION AND REMAINED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
