Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 GMC ENVOY. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE HEADLAMPS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE FUSE PANEL UNDER THE HOOD WAS MELTED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V755000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
