Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, A WARNING INDICATING THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WAS FAULTY APPEARED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES CONNECTED TO THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM HAD CORRODED CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.
