Consumer Description

OVER THE SUMMER THE DRIVERS SEAT IN MY TRUCK STARTED MAKING A CLICKING SOUND AND FELT LIKE THE BASE WAS SHIFTING, ALMOST LIKE A BOLT WAS COMING LOOSE AND THE BASE WAS SLIDING ON THE THREADS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND DESCRIBED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, THEY DROVE IT AND DECIDED THAT THEY NEEDED TO INSTALL A SHIM KIT TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THEY INSTALLED THE KIT AND NOW A FEW MONTHS LATER IT IS STARTING TO DO IT AGAIN. HOW SAFE IS IT TO HAVE SHIMS UNDER THE SEAT TO TIGHTEN THINGS UP WHEN THAT SEAT IS WHAT IT SUPPOSED TO HOLD YOU IN THE VEHICLE IN THE CASE OF A COLLISION. I AM TAKING IT BACK TO MY DEALER TO HAVE THEM RE-REPAIR IT BUT ARE SHIMS EVEN SAFE UNDER THE SEAT OR IS THIS JUST GMS MONEY SAVING SOLUTION TO GET CONSUMERS OFF THEIR BACK WHILE PUTTING THEIR SAFETY AT RISK?
