TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE TRUNK LATCH DETACHED AND OPENED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
