Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO START AND HAD AN ABNORMAL ODOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF FUEL ABOVE THE FUEL TANK AND THEN EVAPORATED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
