Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V604000 (SUSPENSION), 13V337000 (SEAT BELTS), AND 09V388000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. WITHOUT WARNING, THE STRAPS ON BOTH SIDES FRACTURED ASSOCIATED WITH THE LEAF SPRING AND PUNCTURED THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
