Consumer Description

I HAD TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS BY 73,000 MILES. I WOULD CONSIDER THIS A WHEEL BEARING DEFECT, AS I NEVER HAD TO REPLACE THIS ON ANY OF MY CARS DURING MY 27 YEARS OF DRIVING. MAZDA CX-9 IS BASED ON FORD EDGE AND FORD IS KNOWN FOR BAD WHEEL HUB/BEARINGS AND THIS MAY BE RELATED. SHOULDN'T THIS BE RECALLED? I'M UNHAPPY WITH THIS CAR AS I FEEL THIS REPAIR IS TOO SOON AND NOT CHEAP, $650-700 PER WHEEL. IF THE CAR WAS OVER 100-150K MILES, THEN I WOULD UNDERSTAND ONE WHEEL BEARING REPLACEMENT, BUT TWO WITHIN 73K MILES? READ SOME BLOGS THAT IT'S NOT UNUSUAL TO REPLACE ALL FOUR WHEEL BEARINGS ON THIS CAR UNDER 100K MILES. PLEASE ADVISE, AS THIS ISN'T SAFE FOR MOMS DRIVING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN LIKE MY WIFE, LET ALONE OTHERS. THIS CAR SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED, RECALLED ASAP AND REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE OR REFUNDED.
