Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SATURN AURA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ARM BRACKET NEAR THE GEAR SHIFT MALFUNCTIONED. IN ADDITION, THE BUSHING CABLE FAILED TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE GEARS CHANGING. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE GEAR WAS ABLE TO CHANGE FROM DRIVE TO PARK. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V224000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 12V460000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
