TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD TAURUS. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD INDEPENDENTLY DOWNSHIFT AND SHIFT ROUGHLY. ALSO, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REVERSE, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BANGING NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
