Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS MOVED FORWARD AND/OR BACKWARDS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT TURNED ON AND OFF AND THEN REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE "B1C4E PASSENGER POSITIONER OPEN CIRCUIT "DID NOT SEND THE SIGNAL TO INFLATE OR TO ACTIVATE IN CASE OF A CRASH". THE PASSENGER SIDE WIRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,900.
