TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, ANOTHER DRIVER ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT SMOKE WAS EMITTING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
