Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. IN ADDITION, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE RPMS INCREASED TO APPROXIMATELY 1,900-2,000, THEN DECREASED BACK TO NORMAL, AND INCREASED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 157,000.
