Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE MANUAL STEERING WAS ACTIVATED AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC STEERING GEAR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V232000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,507.
