Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EXTERIOR TRUNK LID RELEASE BUTTON RUBBER COVERING MELTED AS A RESULT, THE METAL PART OF THE BUTTON BECAME EXTREMELY HOT TO TOUCH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR BURNS TO THE RIGHT HAND THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION WHILE THE CONTACT WAS IN THE VEHICLE, THE INTERIOR FRONT POWER DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE WHEN ACTIVATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN 100 DEGREES TEMPERATURE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO USE THE FOB INNER KEY AND POINT DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE PUSH BUTTON STARTER IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE THE POWER DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOWS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
