TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 MERCEDES-BENZ CLA250. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE AND RPM WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE ENGINE MADE A LOUD UNKNOWN NOISE AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FUEL PEDAL WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
