TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET UPLANDER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PLACE THE VEHICLE INTO THE DRIVE POSITION, THE GEAR FAILED TO ENGAGE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 233,000.
