TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT RANDOMLY FLASHED AND THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND JERKED VIOLENTLY AT ANY RATE OF SPEED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
