Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CONSUMING APPROXIMATELY 3/4 QUARTS OF OIL. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MAY NEED A NEW ENGINE BECAUSE OF THE RAPID OIL CONSUMPTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,600.
