Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE MADE A HUMMING NOISE AND THE VEHICLE STALLED SIMULTANEOUSLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR FAILED. THE POWER WINDOWS WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN WHEN PROMPTED BY THE DRIVER. FURTHERMORE, SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD NEAR THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,459.
