Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE ACCELERATION DECREASED EVEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW COIL AND POWER CONTROL MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
