TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD TAURUS. WHILE PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED, THE VEHICLE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH A GARDEN HOSE. A FIRE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
