Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, WHICH RESULTED IN A SIDE IMPACT COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. AFTER THE FAILURE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 15V313000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
