Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET COLORADO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY LOST POWER AND AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
