Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH ON AN UNEVEN ROAD SURFACE, THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND THE WATER PUMP AND SERPENTINE BELT DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE THE POWER STEERING PUMP, WATER PUMP, AND RADIATOR WERE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE SERPENTINE BELT AND OTHER ATTACHING COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION, ONE OF THE REAR PASSENGER TIRES COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
