Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET EQUINOX. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT SHOOK AND THE CHECK ENGINE REDUCED POWER LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WOULD ONLY ACCELERATE TO APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
