Consumer Description

INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE ACCELERATING WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED - I.E. WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AT A STOP SIGN THE ENGINE TACHOMETER INDICATES THAT THE ENGINE IS RUNNING UP TO 2000 RPM. THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO DECREASE IS TO LET FOOT OFF BRAKE PEDAL AND REENGAGE IT. THIS HAS BEEN NOTICED WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD AND EVEN WARM. THE INSURANCE MONITOR REGISTERS IT AS A "HARD BRAKING" EVENT. AS I STATED IT IS INTERMITTENT AND HAS REGISTERED 7 HARD BRAKING EVENTS IN 978 MILES. DEALERSHIP STATES THAT UNTIL IT GETS TO BE CONSISTENT THAT THEY CAN'T ADDRESS IT.....I AM ESCALATING WITH THEM AS OF TODAY - 01/04/16.
