TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 GMC ACADIA. WHILE PULLING INTO THE GARAGE, THE VEHICLE'S LIFTGATE FAILED AND CAUSED THE TRUNK OF THE VEHICLE TO LIFT AND DAMAGED THE DOOR OF THE GARAGE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V415000 (STRUCTURE); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
