TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHEVROLET IMPALA. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, AN ABNORMAL SOUND CAME FROM THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE AND IT CAUGHT FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND SALVAGED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.
