Consumer Description

I HAVE A REAR WHEEL BEARING FAILING. I HAVE LEARNED OF A HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN (07-055). THE HONDA DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THE WORK HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. THE LAST STEP IN THE INSPECTION/REPAIR PROCEDURE (STEP 13) INSTRUCTS TO: CENTER-PUNCH A COMPLETION MARK BELOW THE SEVENTH CHARACTER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT VIN: *SLIDE OPEN THE FRAME NUMBER DOOR ON THE CENTER COWL COVER. *USE A LONG PUNCH TO REACH THE VIN. (SEE SERVICE BULLETIN FOR EXAMPLE) THERE IS NO PUNCH MARK ON MY VEHICLE. IF THIS PORTION OF THE PROCESS WAS NOT COMPLETED, HOW AM I TO BE ENSURED THAT THE PROCEDURE WAS PERFORMED COMPLETELY?
