Consumer Description

I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WHEN CAR WOULD NOT GO, HIT THE GAS BUT CAR DID NOT MOVE. PUT INTO REVERSE AND SOUNDED LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING TO DROP, LOUD CLUNK. FORTUNATE TO COME UPON A RED LIGHT SO CARS WERE NOT MOVING FAST TO HIT ME OR KILL ME! THIS HAPPENED ANOTHER TIME IN NEW JERSEY! YIKES!! AND I HAD TO PULL OVER, SHUT THE CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART CAR. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT IT WAS UNLESS MESSAGE WAS ON CONTROL PANEL, I WENT ON INTERNET TO SEE IF I COULD FIND OUT ANY INFO FOR THE PROBLEM. I DID FIND A GREAT MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE SAYING THEY HAD THE SAME ISSUES. I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE BEFORE I GET KILLED. IS ANYTHING BEING DONE TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM AND WHO WILL CORRECT IT? PLEASE ADVISE.
