Consumer Description

VEHICLE CLIPPED/RUBBED ON A ROCK ON THE SIDE OF A PUBLIC ROAD WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30-35MPH IN A NEAR STRAIGHT LINE. NO DAMAGE AT ALL TO WHEELS, TIRES , BALL JOINTS, CONTROL ARMS, OR OTHER BRACKETRY. AXLE HOUSING CRACKED OPEN AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOSE CONTROL AS THE STEERING SYSTEM NO LONGER CAN WORK FROM THIS BREAK. UPON RESEARCH OF THE JEEP WRANGLER JK MODEL AXLE HOUSING FAILURES, THERE APPEARS TO BE MANY DOCUMENTED CASES OF THE FAILURE. MAJOR AUTOMOTIVE PUBLICATIONS HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT THE KNOWN WEAKNESS AND FAILURES OF THIS AXLE HOUSING AND MANY AFTERMARKET COMPANIES SELL PRODUCTS TO REINFORCE THE AXLE HOUSING. THE DAMAGE TO MY THIS VEHICLE APPEARS TO BE IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE AS OTHERS FOUND ONLINE.
