Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FOB WAS INSERTED IN THE IGNITION, IT HAD TO BE MANEUVERED IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO START. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH AND APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE ROD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 102,000.
