Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE METERS AND GAUGES DISPLAYED INCORRECT READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO PART UNAVAILABILITY FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
