Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 PONTIAC GRAND AM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. WHEN THE KEY WAS INSERTED IN THE IGNITION, THE SECURITY WARNING INDICATOR AND AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V400000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 236,755.
