Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 72 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND SEIZED AS THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V101000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING), 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), AND 15V467000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
