Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ. THE CONTACT STATED THAT VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR REPAIRS UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V415000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING).THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TECHNICIAN FAILED TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REMEDY AND ONLY REPAIRED THE VALVE COVER GASKET. AS A RESULT, THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR BEING PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
