Consumer Description
CAR STARTED HAVING EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION AROUND 100,000 MILES. RECEIVED FIRST NOTICE TODAY FROM AMERICAN HONDA ABOUT STICKING PISTON RINGS CAUSING EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS ARE 125,000 MILES OR 8 YEARS, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. MY CAR IS AT 127,000 MILES. AMERICAN HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS THIS CAR IS INELEGIBLE FOR WARRANTY REPAIR BECAUSE IT EXCEEDS THEIR MILEAGE CUTOFF.
