TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD EDGE. WHEN THE CONTACT PLACED FUEL INTO THE FUEL TANK, THE VEHICLE CONTAINED A STRONG ABNORMAL ODOR OF FUEL. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V301000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
