Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE POWER STEERING AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL FAILED. THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO EMIT SMOKE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS MERGED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,900.
