Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO THE LIGHT POLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,038. UPDATED 11/23/15*LJ *CN
