Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. WHILE REVERSING AT APPROXIMATELY 3 MPH INTO A PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT BACK INTO DRIVE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED BY THE DEALER FOR A TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 179,340.
