Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE, THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD ERRONEOUSLY INCREASE TO 75 MPH. ONCE THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE, THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD INCREASE TO AND REMAIN AT 100 MPH UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,300.
